Overview

The National Advisory Committee on Meat and Poultry Inspection (NACMPI) is seeking nominations from interested parties to serve on the committee.  There will be 11 slots open, and the Committee is seeking a diversified balance of individuals representing small processors or producers, academia, consumer advocacy organizations, state and local public health authorities, and large food companies to serve on this high profile committee, which provides recommendations on key policies.

On this webinar, Keith Payne, Deputy Director of FSIS’s Outreach and Partnership Division, and Steve Warshawer of La Montanita Co-Op and Mesa Top Farm and current NACMPI committee member, will explain the purpose and mission of the committee and tell you how to submit your application to serve, if you are interested.

More information on applying is available here. Click on Docket No. FSIS-2014-0011.  Applications are due June 16, 2014.
